An hilarious Sunday lunch and afternoon was spent in enjoyable company. After chicken and dates followed by crumble, we lounged in the summer house before catching the second half of the Scotland v France rugby.

David's 50th
Kath created a venison and puddings masterpiece in celebration of David's half century. An evening spent among old friends after such a beautiful day, was quite special.
Hope Mansell
On a glorious Saturday, we arrived at Pete and Jo's in time to eat fresh scones, to build ourselves up for a few hours walk across the valleys past lambs and snowdrops. A charm of goldfinches were showing off in the garden. Lovely.

Fast Flat-ish Course
The National Cross Country Championship were held in the grounds of Loseley House, Near Guildford, Surrey. Some of the fun was captured by http://www.trackfieldandroad.tv/ in their 52 minute report of 'Police National XC'. However 121 out of 240 finishers put him 1 place into the bottom half of the field: Disaster!

Canal, Rain, Wind, Woods, Mud
On a blustery morning Tim & Jerry combined some flat canal towpath riding with more usual upland ascents to put together a challenging but rewarding February cycle. A route we decided would be more pleasant in sunshine as opposed to sideways rain. Nice anyway.

February Fun
While Luke and pals headed to Croyde, the old fellas managed four hours in clean 2 foot waves at The Ho! Laird Grills put all his surfy things together in a fine freestyle display and then caught his wave of the day. Meanwhile, due to "the board going up in the air" (and back down again), Luke's swollen knee precluded further fun a few beaches North. However, the all-day sunshine kept us happy. Chaps it was a beautiful day - thank you!

St Mawes
Using the househunting excuse, we continued our fact-finding expeditions in South Cornwall, arriving in bright sunshine. After a disappointing afternoon of viewings we checked into The Green Lawns Hotel and then ate out overlooking the harbour. On Saturday, in heavy rain, we reviewed a few more locations and then moved East to St Mawes. A quick upgrade to a sea view put us in a good mood.
The supper was amazing. On a bright Sunday, we walked the coast and then made a PM trip to Pendennis Point, meeting up with Chris, Denutia and others. We were the only vehicle on the King Harry Ferry back across to the Roseland Peninsula.
