In heavy rain, on Monday we took our favourite daughter for a trip South. Fowey had just been knit-bombed so was kitted out in rakish woolen-ware. Truro was far too posh for such trifles. We dinnered at The Italian Kitchen in Hayle before a walk to the sea. For Tuesday we lined up Marazion, Newlyn and then St Ives in the evening where we ate overlooking the harbour. A seal performed beneath us.
On Wednesday we met up with Chris, Danutia, Jamie and Sophie for lunch at Gylli Beach. Later we secured pasties and had a walk along the beach at Godrevy. By now we had got used to the cloud cover. It must be lovely in the summer!
On Thursday, after visiting Porthtowan we met up with Tim at Newquay. Hannah and Jerry enjoyed a couple of hours in the waves in lovely sunshine; before the rain started up again for the trip back to Taunton to see grandparents (especially Ray in hospital).
